HISTORY DynaVox is the world leader in innovative communication and speech technology. DynaVox was originally founded by sentient Systems Technology in 1983. It was known by their first product which was the Eye Typer, which has advanced tremendously over the years. Since then, the company has evolved over the years and has developed many more products with features. DynaVox has worked with many different companies throughout the year from the medical field and technological field to advance its products and its features.
PRODUCTS Dyna Vox have many different products that focus on helping people that have mental and physical disabilities that have prevented them from communicating. Many people have benefited from their products and they have opened doors for communication. In a 2005 US disability census, people with cognitive illness alone affects over 60 million people over the age of 15 while 35 million Americans were described as having a severe disability. (DynaVox. n.d In Wikipedia)) This is a huge number and because of such a big amount of people are affected by this kind of illness, many can benefit from the different products and devices that Dyna Vox has to offer.

There are many different DynaVox products that have different features and serve different purposes. Some examples are their Eye Gaze Devices which helps the users select different and control certain items on the screen. This comes in tablet and computer form a long with other accessories that are available. Another product is the Multi Access devices which is customizable to the needs of the consumer and has direct selection features. This comes in mainly tablet forms and are more convenient and accessible for everyday use. IMAX is an accessory that help somebody that has limited to no motor skills to use their eyes to control the device and select different options on the computer screen. At my job I've seen clients use DynaVox and it has definitely changed their lived for the better because they now have a better means for communication. They can fully express how they are feeling and certain things that they want and has tremendously helped with trying to communicate with these clients to better help them and serve them. DynaVox compares and is similar to tablets and runs on Microsoft software. There are other software’s that are used to help with the many different features and programs needed in order for its devices to run and work properly. They also come in different sizes to fit the needs of the consumer. Some a lot smaller than others for someone who uses it on everyday bases. Most of their different devices specialize in different features to help different people with different needs. They have the Express and the Tango which is made mainly for children that have different speech and communication disabilities. There are many other models such as the B+ and B Max Plus and N3 that help with different communication features like emails and text messaging just to name a few.
