Go Pro is a technology brand that produces cameras used in extreme sports. It is also used more in other areas as well as it becomes more versatile for users.

History
Go pro was founded by Nick Woodman in 2002. His initial intention was to find a way to capture footage for surfers. He would continually test different mounting styles and techniques to find a way to secure a camera. Woodman eventually dropped the idea and focused on a few different career paths before returning to complete the GoPro. At the age of 26, Woodman started to design models with a software called CAD which became a key to his success. In 2004 the company made a total of 150,000$ in revenue and steadily increasing each year. As of 2017 the company is currently worth over 2.6 Billion dollars.

Products
The very first camera that GoPro released was the 35mm camera. This camera was released in 2005 and came with a plastic cover, as well as, a wrist strap. The retail price was $20.00 had the the option of waterproof usage up to 15 feet. Over the years more and more accessories for the GoPro series have been created. More and more people use them because they have become more versatile making them convenient and useful for more people.

Digital Series
Go Pro released three more cameras after the initial release of the 35mm. The Digital, Digital 3, and Digital 5 all had their own unique features. Go Pro Digital had the capability to record 10 frames per second (320 x 240) for up to 10 seconds. This camera also had up to 32MB of internal storage. The Go Pro Digital 5 was released next with an internal storage of 16MB and an option of a 2GB SD card slot. Digital 6 was waterproof and could function up to 30 meters in depth. The Digital 3 could record standard definition with the same capabilities of the Digital 6.

Hero
In 2010, Go Pro released the 960 which had the capability to record 960p and was compatible with go pro mounts. Later that year the Hero camera was released. This is the first camera that had the option to record 1080p (HD) with 25/30 frames per second. During this time there was an increase in motorcycle mounts, helmet mounts, surf mounts all compatible with the Hero. This was a big step during that time period.

Hero 2
Following the release of the Hero came the Hero 2 which was released in 2011. This camera had could record up to 960p up to 48 frames per second, which is significantly better than the previous model. Overall the Hero 2 would end up having to record at lower frame rates most of the time, resulting in a pixelated image.

Hero 3 / Hero 3+
The Hero 3 was introduced in 2012 and had 3 different editions. The three editions were the black, silver, and the white edition. Each Edition had their own unique features. The white and silver edition has a battery time of about 3 hours, while the black edition has a battery time up to 1 and a half hours. The Hero 3 Black edition could capture 4k UHD at 15 fps. This camera also included the wifi remote. Because these cameras had a low battery life, there was a negative response in the media. In 2013, the new and improved Hero 3 was released. A few improvements included low light improvement, better waterproof case, and longer lasting battery life. Reviews from the media went up after these upgrades were introduced.

Hero 4
In 2017 the Go Pro Hero 4 introduced Bluetooth connectivity and photo editing software. The camera is able to record 4k video up to 30 frames per second. The Hero 4 is slightly smaller than the Hero 3 but has the same internal processing unit. Al;most every year a new Hero Comes out whether it is a complete new series or just adding onto one of the series. For example with Hero 4 there is more then one type of camera within this section. There is typically 3 or 4 different ones.

Hero 5 / Hero 6
The Go Pro Hero 5 was released September 2016, while the Hero 6 was released in September 2017. Both cameras have very similar functionality and dimensions. Both cameras are waterproof up to 30 Meters and automatically upload footage to cloud storage. They are able to record 4k video and have 1220 mAh battery. The Hero 6 has the capability to connect with 5Ghz networks and has a custom Gp1 chip. As with many of the other Go Pro Cameras these both come in a variety of styles and colors. Each has their own benefit and use.

GoPro Fusion
The GoPro Fusion was released November of 2017. It differs from the Hero models in that is has a full 360 degree lens allowing for the creation of spherical video. It records in 5.2k resolution, is very small, and also is waterproof much like many other GoPro models.

Mobile App
The GoPro app is an awesome feature that the company also has. This software gives remote access to the camera, making setting adjustments, sharing and viewing photos and videos a much easier process. Do you ever find it difficult to fit everyone is the picture of a GoPro because you have to face it backwards? With the app, you are able to view yourself and friends from your phone screen then take a picture. This ensures the best shot with everyone in it. It also had editing software, which is very convenient that all your needs can be met within a single app.

Misc
A few other products that Go Pro has released are the Karma Drone and the Omni. They are both compatible with the existing cameras. They also have many mounts such as handheld gimbals and grips. They are able to mount cameras almost anywhere now. This adds to the versatility of GoPro and makes it possible people of all types of activities, sports, ages, etc are able to use them comfortably.
