The topic I will research is Magic Leap. This technology is currently being developed to create a virtual reality without the glasses. Imagine holographs in the palm of your hand and augmented reality mixing directly in front of your eyes with real life. I am planning to research and write about the following:
- What exactly Magic Leap is and does. I plan to research who is behind the technology and part of the company. What companies are they planning on working with in the future. How long has Magic Leap been around and when will the developing technology be available.
- How will this technology impact everyday life? Is this technology only for business? Government? The rich? Or will everyone use Magic Leap as conveniently as a smart phone?
- What impacts would Magic Leap have on the future of our lives and society? Will virtual and augmented reality take us even further from real life or will it help connect us with people, places, and things all over the world?
- How will Magic Leap impact business and industry? Will airlines and hotels go out of business because now you can have the Eiffel Tower in your living room? And how will Magic Leap contribute and change entertainment? Will we still play video games and watch movies through a screen or will we be able to actually experience the imagined world for ourselves?
