Facebook Grows with Technology
One of the reasons that facebook is so successful is that it is something, along with other social medias, that can continue to grow with technology. Looking at how cell phones, gaming, and staying informed with news have advanced over the years, you can also see that facebook moves along with it. First, you are able to access new via facebook from your phone. This is one of the ways that facebook has grown with cell phones (a technology) allowing more access to the internet. Another, is that gaming can now be accessed from your phone, so that you can play while not confined at home. Facebook has adapted to this and gives people a chance to access games from facebook. Games are also highly advertised via facebook. Modern news is as well being placed on facbook to help people stay interested in what facebook supports them with, they are allowed to share and learn more on modern day news.

Acquisition

Over the last few years Facebook has began to grow by acquiring other technology companies that will give it two things first it gives them a competitive edge against growing social media companies and second it allows the company to grow beyond the social media aspect of the company. An example of it acquiring a company for competitive edue was its aquasition of Instagram.

Instagram launched in 2010 and within two years the Social media Photo startup reached 30 million users, with this growth and additional competition form Snap Chat Facebook aquired instgram for $1 billion dollars in 2012. Since then Instagram has grown to 400 million users. Facebook also took this approach when looking to expand its messaging platform by purchasing What's App another start up for $21.8 Billion.
