In 2017 Case IH and CNH Industrial with Autonomous Solutions Incorporated came out with the first unmanned tractor. This company is based out of Utah. Case banded with Autonomous Solutions Incorporated to build the autonomous tractor concept. This concept takes a regular Magnum power train and put on a whole different look to the tractor. This means no cab for your operator, Case put this out there to see if people were interested In having a tractor that required no operator. The tractor would be operated from a tablet or desktop computer. Therefore spending more time with there family. You would set the tractor on the course you wanted and it would drive itself. The GPS is accurate enough to know how wide the piece of equipment is and if programmed can turn right around and follow the next line. The Autonomous tractor has sensors all around it, and can sense when a stationary object or another moving object is near before it runs into it. Multiple autonomous tractors could be ran together on one field and know exactly where the other machines are. This could revolutionize farming today. Big farms are having a harder and harder time finding operators who can run equipment. So tractor would eliminate human error and also have a lower operating cost. From a remote tablet the tractor can be backed into a piece of equipment and hooked on. A farmer that needed 5 tractors running at all times could do this by himself with the Autonomous tractor. There are also some Autonomous Tractors that have both manual operating systems and GPS operated systems. Since this type can still be run by an operator if needed, efficiency can be increased. This also allows corporations to have one operator out in the field monitoring multiple Automated tractors. This new tractor could run a pretty penny but would save fuel, breakdowns, and labor costs in the future. This technology could change the way the world produces crops and food.

ASI (Autonomous Solutions, Inc)
Is one of the fastest growing technology leaders in the world! Based in Northern Utah and having 100 acres to prove and test they’re new ideas and inventions on makes ASI what it is. ASI doesn't just work in the agriculture side of things. They do autonomous vehicle for things like mining, Mainly open pit mining having unmanned vehicles means its safer. Having a desired route and know where to go and what to do when they get there. Where ASI really stands out is the military having vehicles that can go into enemy war zone and not have anyone in them, saving lives. If you can send an unmanned vehicle in somewhere and have it heavy enough to activate IED's, which clears the way for military convoys.

ASI has worked with CNH (Case New Holland) for over 16 years developing autonomous tractors. One thing that makes it work is Obstacle detection technology, using a complete sensing and perception package, allows vehicles to ensure that obstacles or obstructions in the tractor's path are detected and avoided.

This is Cases way of doing the autonomous tractor. But watch the second video of New Holland and see that their autonomous tractor can be manned or unmanned.
