Softbank is on the cutting edge of humanoid robotics, innovating and ''humanizing'' our day to day interactions with the technology that surrounds our world.
Offering a range of products, their three main robots are NOA, Pepper, and the newest, project Romeo. All have their own unique specializations and purposes, though collectively they all are equipped with facial recognition, speak a number of languages, and can be controlled and updated through a number of computers and applications. All have the ability to learn and retain information, which results in a more personalized experience between each user and their robot.


NAO

NOA is Softbanks first and smallest robot standing only 58 centimeter tall. NAO has been the most successful and accessible having sold over 10 000 units worldwide.
NAO has proven to be very useful in schools aiding in research and teaching. Watching NAO learn beside you and aid in your learning excites students and engages them in the learning.
More mobile and maneuverable then Pepper, NAO can go from sitting to to standing to laying with no problem. Equipped with dual facial cameras NAO is fully capable of seeing objects in space and interacting with them. NAO can walk, dance, sing, play music, retrieve objects, and play simple games.Easily updated and programmable, the potential is limitless.
Hilton and IBM are using the latest NAO motel 'Connie'' as a hotel concierge. The vast knowledge of resturants, entertainments, or any information can be simply uploaded, Connie never requires sleep or food and can retain more information any human could.

Pepper

Pepper is Softbanks second robot project and is widely used in number of business and homes in Japan. Along with facial recognition, Pepper has the ability to read your emotions . Whether it is the tone in your voice or a specific word choice, Pepper can pick up on a number of things in order to read an emotion or situation. Pepper's artificial intelligence has the ability to change its reaction depending on the situation making her more personable. Used as a greeter and hostess in hundreds of businesses in Japan, Peppers wealth of knowledge and instant information is extremely useful in customer service situations. Pepper has the potential to integrated into a number of jobs and tasks. Whether its giving you directions in a country where you don't speak the language, or searching the web for you, Pepper is here to make your life easier. Easily programmable pepper can be set up to meet the exact needs of your family or business.

Romeo

Romeo is Softbanks largest robot designed around helping the elderly. Romeo has the ability to aid the elderly in day to day tasks they have lost the ability to do themselves giving them a sense of security.
Standing 140 cm tall Romeo can open doors, lift larger objects, and physically aid humans in ways the other robots cant. Though Romeo is still in development Romeo has the most potential for human assistance intellectually and physically.
