SpaceX is an american company headquartered in Hawthorne California. Founded by entrepreneur and engineer Elon Musk in 2002. SpaceX has achieved some amazing achievements which include but are not limited to: The first privately owned company to launch and recover a space ship the dragon in 2010, the first privately owned company to send a spacecraft to the international space station.SpaceX also had a contract working with NASA for the past 10 years that just ended earlier this month in september they did twelve missions with NASA transporting supplies to and from the international space station. These are just a few achievements this company has accomplished.

In 2011 SpaceX announced the reusable launch system technology development, which would allow them to reuse rockets and boosters for multiple missions, in 2015 SpaceX’s rocket Falcon was the first rocket to return to earth and land vertically on a launch pad, SInce then SpaceX has successfully landed another rocket the CRS-8 and later in 2015 relaunched the Falcon 9 Rocket.

In september of 2016, SpaceX announced more about its goal to colonize Mars and to create an interplanetary transportation system. Which would use its reusable rockets to transport humans from Earth to Mars. A very very ambiguous goal but Elon Musk says that they will be doing this within the next decade. SpaceX has already provided for two private persons to orbit around the moon and return to earth, while the goal is to establish long term colonization of Mars, this is just the beginning of space tourism and SpaceX will be the only company providing “Affordable” rates because of the reusable launch system they are currently developing. Other technology that SpaceX is developing is propulsive return over water system, or Autonomous spaceport drones, where the reusable rockets developed by SpaceX, These floating launch pads allow rockets to land where ever since most of the earth is covered in water is seems very necessary to have something like this in order to keep space ships in top condition as water may be very harmful to rocket systems. is also allows rockets that don't hold enough fuel to land as close as possible and SpaceX simply can not build landing pads where ever they please it seems important to have mobil landing pads. These space port drones are also a product of SpaceX the names of the space port drones are " Of Course I Still Love You", and "Just Read The Instructions" there is only two of these barges working right now.

Some history of SpaceX as it was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk, at first Musk thought up the idea of colonizing Mars and making affordable, so he traveled to Russia to try to find some rockets to buy for cheap but he was unable to find anything that would prove to be affordable, so as we flew home disappointed, he decided that he could start a company to build cheap rockets and make colonizing Mars a possible thing so Musk teamed up with rocket engineer Tom Mueller, who is now the CTO of propulsion for SpaceX. SpaceX started with roughly 150 employees and has grown rapidly since 2002 to now 2017 with over 6,000 employees. By 2012 the company had launched 40 successful rockets into space gaining about 4 billion in revenue, later the next year in 2013 they had contracted out 50 more launches with private and commercial contractors.

SpaceX is the fastest and most affordable route to space, however a round trip to the international space station on SpaceX rocket “The Dragon” will still cost you around 58 million dollars covering roughly 220 miles.it is still a goal of Elon Musk to make it the most affordable way to travel through space, Is 2004 elon musk demanded that\ the rockets become lighter and faster resulting in an ability to carry more stuff and passengers, The main goal of the company concerning this matter to for it it cost roughly five hundred dollars a pound to travel in space, Now what exactly does that include? I am not sure it could mean anything from only your personal items or it could include your food and water as well, Only time will tell, because as previously mentioned Elon Musk it very confident in his companies ability to succeed and they will be traveling to mars with in 10 to 20 years.
